MSI is an Automation, Industrial Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering SME (100 employees) offering different turnkey solutions to several industries such as: water treatment, metal transformation, iron and steel industry, paper, air, etc. and systems concerning energy efficiency and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
MSI's technological capacity and know-how is supported by its extensive experience, acquired over many years of developing more than 3.000 engineering and control industrial projects, both nationally and internationally. Partner's interests in the project
The water treatment sector is one of the most important activities for MSI. Regarding Waste Water Treatment plants, since 1996 MSI has developed crucial R&D projects making them a very well known world-wide as a control and MES solutions engineering company with high added-value.
The interest of MSI in DIAMOND is the design, development, implementation and validation of a new advanced data management platform, called Advanced DAta Management Tool or ADAM Tool, which will allow the optimization of the operation of wastewater systems by adequately managing and using all the information available in the plant. This platform will allow:

  • Centralising and processing all the heterogeneous, incomplete and frequently inconsistent data of WWTPs
  • Extracting valuable and validated information about the status of the entire plant
  • Monitoring the status of the plant thanks to plant-wide Key Performance Indicators of its Advanced Monitoring System.

Partner's interests in the project
MSI will be in charge of the Coordination of this project (WP1). In addition MSI will lead the validation activities (WP7) and exploitation tasks (WP8) of the project, collaborating in other work packages.
